With the COVID-19 pandemic moving into a new phase and taking lessons from the "Summer like no other" in 2020, Boston Public Schools (BPS) high school students returned to Boston’s summer jobs program.

During the 2021 Mayor's Summer Jobs Campaign Kickoff, PIC Chair Ken Montgomery welcomed Mayor Kim Janey and Superintendent Brenda Cassellius, both of whom emphasized the importance of summer jobs and internships for our city’s high school students and their families.
School Vacation Week Virtual Bootcamps 2021
This year, the PIC and our partners organized skill-building vacation-week bootcamps for Boston Public Schools high school students. Over their February and April vacations, more than a hundred students participated in seven 3- and 4-day virtual courses.
