Youth Employment
Every summer, in partnership with the City of Boston and the Boston Public Schools, the PIC organizes employers to participate in the Mayor’s Summer Jobs Program.
Through this initiative, over 3,000 Boston public high school students are hired each summer to work in employer-paid jobs or internships at more than 200 private sector companies.
Top employers include:
- Massachusetts General Hospital
- Brigham and Women’s Hospital
- Bank of America
- Liberty Mutual Group
- Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
PIC Career Specialists also connect over 600 other students with community-based jobs sponsored by foundations and the public sector.
In addition to brokering students into summer jobs, Career Specialists connect students with school-year jobs and internships at companies and organizations throughout Boston.
