Draft of Greater Boston Workforce Planning Blueprint Available for Public Comment

The PIC – serving as  Boston’s Workforce Development Board – recently released a draft of the Greater Boston Workforce Planning Blueprint for public comment. The Workforce Skills Cabinet, comprised of the Secretaries of Education, Labor and Workforce Development, and Housing and Economic Development, initiated a regional planning process that convened regional workforce, education, and economic development entities. The overarching goal of this process is to identify critical labor supply gaps in the region and suggest strategies to close them.

If you don't have time to read the full blueprint, check out pages 1-3 and pages 9-14 for main points of interest.

The public is encouraged to email comments or questions about the Blueprint to Joseph McLaughlin, PIC Research and Evaluation Director, at joseph.mclaughlin@bostonpic.org by March 2.
