Training

The Greater Boston area has a wide range of programs for individuals interested in developing or improving their skills. There are programs for English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), literacy programs, and GED programs.  There are programs to develop new job skills in fields such as healthcare, computer programming and repair, hospitality, and the culinary arts.  Each program has its own eligibility requirements.

Boston's One Stop Career Centers have a full list of training programs, and their staff will assist you in finding and applying for the program that is the best fit for you.  Staff also will help you find tuition assistance, as necessary.

Currently there is one list you can download:  "Fiscal Year 2012 Training Provider List" shows all the training providers and courses approved for financial assistance provided by the government through the One Stop Career Centers. The second, "Training Providers by Program with Outcomes" is currently being revised and will be published shortly.
