Leadership & Governance

The Boston Private Industry Council is a public-private partnership that works across the boundaries of professional, personal, educational, and cultural experience.

Mayor Thomas M. Menino appoints the Council, which includes prominent business, labor, higher education, government, and community leaders. The Council elects a Board of Directors, which sets the strategic direction for the PIC, serves as the executive committee of the Workforce Investment Board, and as convenor of the Boston Compact.

Gary L. Gottlieb, M.D., M.B.A., president of Brigham and Women's Hospital, serves as chair.
